What I'm Loving Wednesday :)

I'm linking up with Jamie for the first time for What I'm Loving Wednesday! I've always loved reading the WILW posts so I figured I'd join in!
1. I'm loving that my sister Chelsea came to visit this past weekend! We got to shop, go out to eat, go to a State baseball game, hang out...it was lots of fun!
Chels and I at the baseball game!
Chels, me and Zach!

2. I'm loving how great Zoe is doing adjusting to her new home!
I just hope that this weekend when we move apartments she won't backtrack!

3. I'm loving the color on my toes right now! So summery!

4. I'm LOVING that my experiments in the lab worked yesterday...like a LOT

5. I'm loving that I found a giant bag of coconut m&ms at Target on Monday and that I brought them to my office...eating them and drinking Diet Coke with Lime makes Wednesdays much better!!
What are you loving this Wednesday??

Miss Zoe!

On Monday, we went to pick up our new puppy! After a weekend long name debate, this is Zoe!
Zach and Zoe on Friday. We adopted her on Friday from the Humane Society here in Starkville. She stayed the weekend since we were going to Jackson and we picked her up Monday!
Pretty face! She is an 8 month old lab mix. She's only 26 pounds now so she shouldn't get too much bigger.
She was amazing in the car on the way to Zach's apartment.
Just sat and looked around!
Once we got inside she sniffed around for a bit then pooped on the floor! We think she was just nervous. She went for a walk then to take a bath!
You know I got her pink collars and leashes :)
Here she is after her first bath! I was so (pleasantly) surprised at how great she was while we gave her a bath!
We took her out a ton the first day and through the night because she had an upset stomach but yesterday and so far today she has been much better.
She LOVES laying in the grass!
She has cracked us up so much already! She is just such a happy, calm, playful pup! Can't wait for many more adventures with her!

Spring Break Recap!

Warning: TONS of photos :)

Since grad schools drains the life out of people, Zach and I decided to head to Destin for a long weekend the first weekend State let us out for spring break. We drove down Friday and arrived about supper time. I had seen a sign for PF Changs in Sandestin so after checking into our hotel, we headed over to PF Changs for a late supper.
Here we are at PF Changs waiting on our table. I had a Pink Bellini to drink to start the weekend off right and dang was it good! I highly recommend it.

The next morning we woke up and went to the outlets to SHOP! :) I was so excited. I got a zebra printed dress at J. Crew and Zach actually got more at the outlets than I did!
We headed to Fudpucker's for lunch...
...where we spotted this gem of a sign. How fitting ;)
After lunch we petted a pretty gator!
Then headed to the beach!
The water was gorgeous! Sure did look different from the Jax Beach water I'm used to!
The water was cold but this Florida girl went swimming anyways!

After the beach we got ready for supper!
Goofy mirror picture of our outfits at the hotel...
And here is my dress!
We ate at Pompano Joe's then headed to McGuire's Irish Pub for a few drinks!
Giant Irish Wake drinks!
Pretty yummy
We signed a dollar and stapled it on the wall

The next morning we slept in, ate lunch, the headed to the beach where we became lobsters pretty quickly. Pathetic for someone who should have a tan year round but that's what grad school does I suppose.
After the beach we got dressed for supper and went for a walk on the beach while we were waiting on our dinner reservation!
Zach on the beach at sunset :)
Me on the beach at sunset :)
Several self-attempts to get pictures together
I wish I was looking at the camera in this one!
Finally we found someone to ask! :) I love how this picture came out!

Then we ate supper at The Melting Pot fondue restaurant! Neither of us had ever had fondue so it was quite the experience! We had a lot of fun and were STUFFED by the end!
Y'all know I still found room for dessert fondue!

Monday we packed up our stuff and made our way back to Starkville with stops in Pensacola (for Home Goods!) and Mobile (for supper and TJ Maxx!)- y'all I found the BEST stuff in Home Goods and TJ Maxx for the apartment for next year!
We also stopped at McGuire's in Pensacola to get giant huggies for our giant Irish Wake glasses :)

Back in Starkville we had Zach's little brother visit for a few days and also had an awesome St. Patrick's Day cookout with Mary Catherine and Kevin before heading to Jackson for the weekend!

Friday we did a little shopping in Jackson (Zach got his first pair of Sperry Topsiders-I'm so proud haha) and then we had supper and played mini golf!

Saturday we went to the St. Patrick's Day parade!
And Sunday we headed home to Starkville...quite the VERY busy week (we did also have to work during the week except for Monday) and now here we are back in the lab today!
Many more exciting things to come this Spring!
Hope y'all enjoyed the pictures!

Incredibly Torn

So...I got a job offer. I should be ecstatic right? I enjoyed the interview and the people I met were really nice. They gave me nothing but positive feedback and seem excited to make the offer.
Which is good.
I however, do not want to live in the middle of nowhere.
Or have a long commute if I decided to live somewhere with more...development.
The job environment isn't what I pictured working in.
My professional interests have led me to wanting an MBA after I'm done with my masters in August. However...I have no work experience. Would a company want to hire someone with 2 masters degrees, a bachelors degree and no work experience?

Now what.

Do I stay in Starkville for another year and get an MBA. Be much happier in Starkville's environment, but risk going into more debt?

Or do I take a job halfheartedly, in an awful location, have to drive hours to see anyone I care about? Start over again? Alone.

I know the economy is bad. I sound like a selfish brat. But I literally cried when I got the offer. And not tears of joy.

I suck at dieting

This week marks week eight of weight watchers. I haven't even lost 5 pounds.
WHAT THE HECK

I followed the program religiously.
Worked out.
Still nothing.
What am I doing wrong?

Sure I eat m&ms. But I count them. They are 6 points.
I do kickboxing. Spinning. Zumba.
Nothing is working.

Any ideas?
Help. lol

I feel like there is no point to this anymore. I don't lose weight on Weight Watchers.
